Let's say I am really shy so for my first English post here, I start with a list and why you should stop in each of this places.
Shops
~ Le Dragon Savant, 36 rue de la Villette, Paris 19
This bookshop sells books for children, from birth to the end of the adolescence. While the younger can play with a train in a corner, the parents can look for the best book ever.
What I like there : the little toys that we can find around the cash desk., the amazing books from unknown editor, the kindness of the booksellers.

This bookshop (I know, I'm a bit crazy about books) is the best place when you start to talk about travels.
What I like there : the advices, the mix between tourist guides, novels and maps.

A small shop in a sad street, 5 minute-walk from Bastille.
What I like there : the colors, the cupcake set, the bags, all this small things which would be perfect gifts for friends or for myself.

Another bookshop, but not only. Two third of the shop sells manga and other books from or about Japan. The last third is dedicated to bento, the japanese lunch box in which the look is more important than the taste.
What I like there : the good advices from the sellers, the cute idea I get for my own bento. And as it is located in front of the Japanese grocery, I always end my trip there with some Japanese sweets.
To have a drink or to eat

A small place to have a quick lunch or a snack in the afternoon.
What I like there : lively surrounding, the numerous variety of tea, the delicious nutella-cake
~ Higuma, 32 bis rue Sainte Anne, Paris
This Japanese restaurant is famous for its ramen.
What I like there : the casual atmosphere, the price and I am sure to have enough to eat, no matter how hungry I am.

A take-away to taste thai meals.
What I like there : it's located in front of the bookshop Itinéraires, the food is delicious, the price is quite nice.

This Taiwanese tea house was one of the first to offer in Paris the bubble tea, this mix of tea and pearls of tapioca.
What I like there : the tapioca pearls, the cakes for the afternoon snack.
Museums, parks...

Everybody knows the Louvre museum and its Mona Lisa.
What I like : the Friday evening and its special ambiance, the Napoleon's apartment, the peace in the sculpture department.

A huge park in the south of Paris, in front of the Cité Internationale Universitaire.
What I like there : a quite place, perfect to have a picnic in a sunny day.

What I like there : the view on the Pompidou museum of modern art from the top of the street, the draws on the walls.


Je trouve triste de reconnaître qu'aujourd'hui je ne suis capable de mener une
conversation qu'en français et en anglais. Bien sûr je peux me débrouiller en allemand, italien et swahili, mais mon premier réflexe sera de demander à mon
interlocuteur s'il ne préfère pas l'anglais.
J'ai même tenté d'apprendre le kirghiz (avant que tout le
monde ne me le déconseille, mais l'expérience m'a prouvé que j'aurai du m'y mettre, au moins un peu). Je rêve d'apprendre la langue des signes (mais je vais me contenter de la
version utile pour les bébés) et quand je vois une annonce du type "prof. particulier propose cours de XXX", j'imagine immédiatement ce que ce serait de parler un peu le XXX.
